Staff Training Week at the University of Greifswald

International (in)visibility? Solutions for excellent small universities in remote locations

Dear Colleagues, dear Partners,

The University of Greifswald cordially invites you to our second International Staff Training Week, which will be held from the 11th-15th June 2018.

While members from all international universities are welcome to register, the programme will mainly focus on the chances and challanges of smaller research universities in rural areas. Greifswald is a full university with approx. 10,000 students. It offers socia sciences and humanities an has a strong record in the life sciences. We aim to connect a wide range of staff from different institutions and to jointly discuss and develop strategies on how to successfully support our universities´ further development, both internationally and at home.

The programme is split into sections, introducing you to different aspects of the University of Greifswald´s international work and attractiveness. The programme will consist of workshop sessions, the participation in our International Day on the 13th June and a trip to our Biological Research Station on the beautiful island of Hiddensee. Of course there will also be plenty of time for getting to know the University and its members, exploring the town and networking.
