Summer Course in Gender Equality, Gender Violence and Social Diversity

Aims of the course: raise awareness to gender equality issues, promote knowledge on social gender relationships and their implications in the different spheres of social life, inform about domestic and gender violence; create mechanisms to prevent and combat domestic violence; promote reflection on social diversity; deconstruct social stereotypes and foster a culture based on the valorisation of social specificities

Course programme:

I - Gender equality: definitions and concepts, historical-social framework, empirical and statistical evidence, inclusive language, gender violence;

II: Gender violence: definitions and concepts, historical-social framework, practices and meanings, risk and protection factors, prevention/action;

III: Social diversity: definitions and concepts, social diversity and social discrimination, actions for promotion of social integration.
