Talking cultures: Lenguas en un mundo diverso Languages that unite, cultures that inspire

This International Week at CEU UCH aims to celebrate linguistic and cultural diversity while addressing the evolving needs of language education in a globalized context. This initiative highlights the importance of plurilingual and intercultural competence as a key skill for global citizenship and explores innovative approaches to language learning.

Esta Semana Internacional en la CEU UCH tiene como objetivo celebrar la diversidad lingüística y cultural, además de abordar las necesidades cambiantes de la enseñanza de idiomas en un contexto globalizado. Esta iniciativa destaca la importancia de la competencia plurilingüe e intercultural como habilidad clave para la ciudadanía global. Por último, pretende explorar enfoques innovadores para el aprendizaje de lenguas.

• Cognitive and Affective Approaches: Enhancing attention, motivation, and retention; linking critical thinking to language acquisition.

• Research in language teaching and learning.

This course includes a guided tour of Valencia's art and architecture and a cultural and leisure programme for late afternoons.
