Using AI tools to create interactive learning experiences.

How can AI make learning more interactive, personalized, and motivating? This hands-on workshop focuses on enhancing student engagement using AI tools in the classroom. Through practical activities and peer exchange, participants will explore how AI can support participation, adapt to learner needs, and provide meaningful feedback. We’ll dive into the pedagogical opportunities and limitations of using student data and intelligent systems, while staying grounded in ethical teaching practices. Ideal for K–12 and university educators from any discipline, the course is beginner-friendly, with space to explore, experiment, and create. Bring your curiosity—and your device!

Overall Objectives of the mobility:

  1. Explore how AI tools can foster active learning and increase student motivation.
  2. Learn to design AI-supported activities that promote participation and interaction.
  3. Understand how to use AI to personalize learning experiences based on student data.
  4. Gain hands-on practice with tools that support formative feedback and adaptive learning.
  5. Discuss the implications of using student data in AI-enhanced teaching environments.

Added value of the mobility (in the context of the modernisation and internationalisation strategies of the institutions involved):

  1. Participants will develop practical skills to apply emerging technologies in their local teaching contexts.
  2. The workshop promotes a learner-centered mindset through AI-enhanced engagement strategies.
  3. Educators from different countries will exchange ideas and build an international network focused on digital innovation in education.
  4. The course supports institutional goals for digital literacy, innovation, and inclusive teaching practices.

Activities to be carried out:

  1. Interactive input sessions with live demonstrations of AI tools for engagement.
  2. Collaborative design challenges using AI to create student-centered activities.
  3. Group discussions and peer feedback on practical classroom scenarios.
  4. Guided exploration of AI-powered platforms for feedback, personalization, and student data insights.

Please bring your own device (laptop or tablet) for hands-on activities.

Expected outcome and impact:

  1. Participants will be able to design lessons that use AI to increase student participation and motivation.
  2. They will gain confidence in selecting and applying AI tools to enhance interaction in their own classrooms.
  3. Educators will understand how to responsibly use student data to inform engagement strategies.
  4. Participants will return to their institutions with concrete ideas and ready-to-implement materials.
  5. The workshop experience will encourage ongoing experimentation and peer exchange in AI-enhanced pedagogy.

Target group:

K–12 teachers and university lecturers from all disciplines who are curious about using AI in the classroom. Participants should have basic digital skills and ideally some initial experience with AI tools (e.g., logged in or tried simple prompts), but no advanced knowledge is required.
