INTERNATIONAL STAFF WEEK ON INTERNATIONALISATION
UNIVERSITAT ROVIRA I VIRGILI. 25 - 28 JUNE 2019, TARRAGONA
Our International Staff Week this year will provide participants the opportunity to learn and discuss around the different models and functions of international offices. What services must an international office offer? And do we market them within our institutions? Do we communicate transparently about what we offer? How can we improve our communication and marketing, and thus our internationalisation? How can we manage our international office more effectively? Is our office focused only towards the outside of the institution? What about the inside?
This International Staff Week will join three distinctive but intertwined events:
Do you work in an international office? Have you ever stopped to think whether the management of internationalisation could be done differently? What are the different models of international offices? Do we have a centralized or decentralized model? What services do we offer? Do we communicate them transparently? Are we focused inward or outward? Are you ready to dive into all of these topics and take away from this week practical pills that you can then bring back home and implement at your own institution?
During the week, participants will be presented with models, structures and functions of international offices; they will discuss the pro’s and con’s, present their own structure, best practice or challenge from their home institution, thus enriching the experience of all those present. Participants will know more about internationalisation at home, internationalisation of staff and communication and marketing regarding internationalisation.
The methodology of this international staff training week will be very interactive and participatory. Participants will work hard, but also play hard. Do you dare?
