The International Week 2016 will be organised in collaboration with Tampere University of Applied Sciences and University of Tampere.

It is our pleasure to welcome our international partners to attend the International Week for Non-Teaching Staff in Tampere, Finland, on 6th - 10th June 2016.

This international staff training week is intended for the non-teaching staff members of our partner universities and it will give you an opportunity to get to know the unique educational atmosphere of Tampere by introducing for the first time the collaboration of the two universities in Tampere. In addition, there will be an introduction to the UNIPOLI network, which is a platform of co-operation for all higher education in Tampere.

Programme

On Monday we will start the week at University of Tampere and have a starting meeting in-cluding participants' short introductions. In the evening a Get-Together will be organized, where the UNIPOLI network will be presented in a relaxing atmosphere.

During the following three days the participants will increase their knowledge and awareness of culture and its influence on communication through Intercultural communication workshops.

Participants will be divided into groups based on the tasks and duties each participant performs in their own institution or holds a special interest in:

- International Services (TAMK and UTA partners)

- Library and Information Services (TAMK partners)

- Human Resources Services (TAMK partners)

- Student Services (TAMK partners)

- University Sports (TAMK and UTA partners)

When registering for the week you have to choose the TRACK you wish to join.

The week will offer an opportunity to gain once-in-a-lifetime experiences as the participants will be introduced to Finnish culture, society and the Nordic White Nights! One of the high-lights of the week is the traditional sauna evening by the lake on Tuesday, so do not forget to bring your swimming gear!

Please register by April 8 using the electronic registration form.
