How can we give our students a global experience without traveling? How can we internationalise our curriculum and include diverse perspectives? One of the modalities to accomplish this, is COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning). In this workshop, that will take place on location as well as online, you’ll have the opportunity to discover the opportunities of online collaboration.

We’ll explore the following topics:

  1. What and why of COIL?
  2. How to facilitate learning from cultural differences?
  3. COIL curriculum design: from learning outcomes to reflection and assessment?
  4. Choosing the technology to support your design?
  5. BIP and COIL: best of both worlds?
