Amasya University is inviting you to the "2nd International Erasmus+ Staff Week", organized by the International Relations Unit. This week is directed to teaching staff at academic units and international relations officers at Higher Education Institutions. The main purpose of "2nd International Erasmus+ Staff Week" is to increase the international awareness of Amasya University. In this context, training, social activities and cultural trips will be organized at Amasya University.

Amasya University is a state university established in Amasya. At Amasya University, corporate values are built with a participatory understanding dominated by a learning organization model and a quality-oriented management system. In this context, in order to become a university at international standart, education and research policy are designed by focusing on providing the highest benefit to our country in accordance with national policies. Amasya University has 685 academic staff, 542 administrative staff and 16800 students according to the current data of 2023.

Amasya province is located in the Central Black Sea Region of the Black Sea Region and is one of the oldest settlements in Anatolia. It has been the center of various civilizations starting from the Hittites. There are many historical monuments and and touristic places.

The event will be held from 12-16 June 2023.

What is the focus of the staff week?

 

                                              “Let's cook Turkish/Ottoman food together”

 The main purpose of the "II. International Erasmus+ Staff Week" on gastronomy and national cuisine/Turkish cuisine education is to provide the participants with the necessary information to make their universities visible in the international framework.

Training will be provided on the following topics;

• Internationalization in gastronomy education

• Culinary training workshop for Turkish and Ottoman dishes, culinary trainings attended by all participants.

• Comparison of European Cuisine and Turkish Cuisine, work-shop, culinary trainings attended by all participants.

The program package costs €430 and it includes:

Accommodation for 5 nights in the 3-4 stars hotel (single room).

All Breakfast and lunch, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday dinners.

Training materials (Kitchen supplies, a very nice kitchen apron with your name on it)

Guide service on excursions

Cappadocia trip (included breakfast, lunch, dinner and guide service)

Two way shuttle service only between Amasya- Merzifon Airport

24h assistance throughout the week.

Expenses other than the program belong to the participants.

Participants are expected to obtain Erasmus+ Mobility grants or other source of financing from their home Institutions to cover their living and travel expenses.

Registration fee will be deposited to the specified bank account after May 30, 2023.
